Golden Delicious is one of the most delicate apple varieties, and highly susceptible to bruising.

Royal Delicious is one of the oldest and most well-known commercially grown fruit in Himachal Pradesh.

Exterior: Golden Delicious apples are pale green to golden yellow in color and speckled with small lenticels (spots). Royal Delicious is deep to bright red in color and has the classic shape with classic sweetness.

Interior: Fine and smooth, white to buff-coloured.

Experience:  Golden Delicious apples are thin-skinned, consistently sweet, and crisp, with a silky texture. Royal Delicious apples have mild sweet flavors and only a few notes of acidity.

storage

  • Store unwashed apples in the coldest part of your refrigerator.
  • To store an entire box of apples, keep the box in a cool, dark place. Wrapping each apple in paper will provide additional protection and delay ripening.
  • Loose apples will last 6-8 weeks if refrigerated.
